OUR BELIEFS
Learn more about what we believe.
We believe that the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, is the Word of God, the revelation of God to man, and the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:16-17, All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work
We believe that the God of the Bible has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (the Trinity).
Matthew 3:16-17, As soon as Jesus [the Son] was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God [Holy Spirit] descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven [the Father] said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, (speaking to his Deity), and the only Savior of the world (speaking to his exclusivity).
John 1:1, 14, 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. … 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:6, Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Further, the Scriptures declare: His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary work on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, and His exaltation to the right hand of God.
We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to empower the Church.
Acts 1:8, But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
